We've just spent two nights at a very crowded campground at the northern edge of the Big Cypress National Preserve. We met a family from Port Clyde who spend two months traveling and camping around Florida in the winter. They have three kids and camp in a tent. We met them while doing laundry. Can you imagine how much work that is? From the amount of laundry, a lot and they “home school” the kids. They run a kayak business from the main dock at Port Clyde all summer, so they don't get to enjoy much of Maine but they were a great source of information about campgrounds.
As we head to the furthest south campground in the Everglades (Flamingo), internet access which has been bad and will get worse.
